Vintage Unbranded White with Black Trim Enamelware Metal Bedpan
USD 10.99 USD
Bedpans were made of porcelain enamel, a durable and easy to clean material commonly used for medical and household items in the past. Bedpans were designed to allow individuals who are bedridden or have limited mobility to urinate or defecate while remaining in bed. Enamelware bedpans were a common fixture in hospitals and homes during the early to mid-20th century. I am 81 years old and have dealt with them for their original purpose. Today they can be repurposed as a planter, great hiding place, and anything beyond your wildest imagination. Please see pictures for a good look without the smell.
